I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my sister, Dara, and Scot's family during the most difficult time of their lives. A few days ago, while on a family holiday in Turkey, Scot was the victim of a brutal and unprovoked assault. He suffered a devastating brain injury and remains in intensive care. He has a fractured skull, bleeds on his brain, and at the time of writing, he still hasn't opened his eyes. He is also battling an infection, making his fight even more challenging. Every day is filled with hope, fear, and uncertainty as we wait and pray for signs of improvement. Scot is a much-loved father, son, partner, brother, uncle and friend. He has a huge passion for motocross and means the world to so many people. Seeing someone so full of life fighting for his life is absolutely heartbreaking. My sister, Dara, and Scot's family are staying by his side in Turkey. They have no idea how long they will need to remain there, but they refuse to leave him while he is fighting for his life. As each day passes, the costs of accommodation, food, travel, and being away from work continue to grow, placing an enormous financial burden on the family. They would never ask for help themselves, which is why I'm asking on their behalf. Any donation, no matter how small, will help ease some of the financial pressure so they can focus entirely on being there for Scot.
