Help with Scooby Doo's Recovery!

Donation protected

Everyone's best buddy, the ineffable, the squishable Scooby is sick and needs our help! We all love this guy - he has tons of friends and is
the best companion and emotional support dog anyone could ask for.  He is truly a unique, friendly, kind dude that deserves the world. Anyone who has had the privilege of cuddling him or going on adventures with him will attest to that.

Sadly, our Scooby has been hospitalized at the Emergency Veterinary Hospital since Tuesday, July 13th, the last few days spent in the ICU. We are worried sick and devastated by how quickly this has all happened. The staff at the hospital have been amazing and have taken good care of him.

On Tuesday, he suddenly became ill with sore limbs and ulcers in his mouth and they discovered he had pneumonia. Since then, he has had a mixed bag of symptoms that have been very challenging to diagnose. It appears he could have a bacterial infection or a spinal condition but right now we do not know the source. At this point, most of his symptoms have been improving, only he now has wounds from his catheter that are struggling to heal.

The hospital would like to monitor him, give him continued wound care and possibly remove the necrotic tissue. However, that would require him to stay in the ICU for another 3 days.  His stay at the hospital has grown very costly and despite our best efforts is much more than we can afford at this point. On average, each day in the hospital can range from $1100-$1800. We would love to at least keep him there long enough so that he stabilizes and I can do care at home while he recovers. He's made it so far, he's still eating well and getting enough oxygen, his little immune system is just working really hard to recover and he needs some help. We just want more than anything
to bring him home so he can see his little brother and get lots of pats from us.

Aside from these current issues, Scooby is a super lively, happy and funny boy. He loves playing with his crocodilly, going on long sniff walks, saying hi to other small dogs, and cuddling up on people's laps.

We understand that the pandemic has hit everyone pretty hard. As you can imagine, having sudden vet bills pop up can be really difficult to navigate during this time. We hope that you send positive vibes, love and prayers to our doggie Scooby Doo, and if you can donate
anything at all, it would mean the world to us.
