I’m asking for help for a cat named Scooby, whose life has been much harder than it should have been.

Scooby is 2 and a half years old. For a long time, he lived with owners who unfortunately did not take proper care of him. We were told that he only needed eye drops, nothing serious. But after taking him to the vet, we learned the heartbreaking truth.

Scooby has been diagnosed with entropion in both eyes, a painful condition where the eyelids turn inward, causing the eyelashes to scrape against the eyes constantly. This means he has likely been living with ongoing pain and irritation for a very long time.

The vet explained that this condition should have been treated much earlier. Because it wasn’t, surgery is now the only option to stop his suffering and prevent permanent damage to his vision.

The cost of the surgery is £1,700 for both eyes, an amount I simply cannot afford on my own. But Scooby deserves a chance to live without pain, to open his eyes comfortably, and to finally experience the care he was denied before.
