When I signed Scooby's adoption papers, I promised him that we would be the last family he would ever be with. For Scooby, what started as a weekend foster became a week, then a month, and a month became the promise for forever. Scooby has been through 2 families before us, and he had been in the shelter for 8 months before I ushered that terrified senior dog into my car to take him home "for the weekend". Since coming home, Scooby has regained confidence, trust, and has even become my service dog! We couldn't imagine a life without each other. I have no intention of breaking the promise I made him.

Meeting Violet for the first time was a surprise I'll never forget. My first puppy and my first girl dog would be the last gift my late grandfather would ever give me. I had been sick in the hospital for weeks on end, and one beautiful spring day, my healthcare team worked to give me special permission to walk outside near the hospital. Violet, my puppy who I had only seen in pictures, was there to welcome me into the sun after weeks of being stuck inside a hospital room.

Violet has become my little brother's childhood dog. He grew up with our schnauzer, and I really believe that she is so important to his happiness and satisfaction in our new home as well. Our home wouldn't feel complete without our furry companions. I hope to give Violet a full life with us, and cuddle her close for as long as I possibly can.

These dogs mean the absolute world to me. I couldn't imagine my life without them, which is why for me, there is no other choice but to bring them with me as our family moves to Ecuador. They ARE part of my family.

Whatever amount you can give is of an immense help to my family and my dogs. Their tickets have cost me all I had left, and I am racing against time and all odds to scrape together the funds to pay off their travel expenses. Thank you for being part of our journey!
