Scone to Sydney
Donation protected
Ed Goff and Harrison Badger have decided to do a charity walk from Scone in the Hunter Valley to Sydney to raise funds for the Rural Fire Services in order to support their efforts in battling the devasting bushfires currently decimating Australia’s heartland! Harrison has been working in the Hunter Valley for two years now, at Kitchwin Hills Stud and Yarraman Park respectively and as a result has developed some profound heartfelt connection to the effected areas. Ed has been in Australia for a year and has been doing his farm work at Yarraman Park for the past three months. In his time here he has also developed a strong love for the country and a real desire to do anything that can be done to help those desperately in need.
To give you guys an idea of the impact the fires have had on the country. Half a billion animals have lost their lives since September, one third of the koala population have lost their lives - an animal already struggling for survival. The navy have been evacuating people from their hometowns, Mallacoota a town in Victoria being one of the worst affected.
The walk:
270km from Scone in the Hunter Valley where Yarraman Park is based to Sydney. We’re aiming to complete the walk in 7 days.
Any donation will be greatly appreciated and honestly will go a long way.
