Grecia Hernandez is a single mother of three, and my younger sister.
She is very hardworking and will do anything to ensure that her children have a great future, even when she had no aid. One night she was coming home after work when some bullets were fired and hit her…
Grecia went to the hospital in critical condition and we weren't sure if she would survive… When the doctors informed us about what exactly happened to her, they told us that she had a bullet in her head, that is still too dangerous to remove due to how close it is to her brain and nerves, and they were not sure either if she would live or even get better.
She is still getting better and fighting, the doctors say that it might take over a year for her to fully heal. She can now understand and respond to simple questions/sentences, and can move the left side of her body (her right side is paralyzed), but is still in need of another surgery in her head, rehabilitation/therapy, medication, adult diapers, special non-solid food that she can eat and that gives her all the nutrients and vitamins she needs, etc.
But we are also asking for your help to be able to support her children, she lost her job due to this accident and sadly that is the only way they had money coming into their household to provide for them. We ask for your help and support to help pay any expenses she might have (as a parent and for her medical needs) since I too am a single mother and cannot provide enough financial support for her and her family.

Grecia es muy trabajadora y hacia todo lo posible para sacar a sus hijos adelante, aunque no tuviera ayuda de alguien más. Una noche, ella venía manejando de el trabajo devuelta a su casa cuando en el freeway le pegaron unos balazos…
Grecia fue a el hospital en condición crítica y no estábamos seguros si iba a sobrevivir… Cuando nos enteramos que le paso, los doctores nos informaron que ella tenía una bala dentro de su cabeza, que no se le puede retirar y no estaban seguros si iba a sobrevivir o poder recuperarse.
Ella todavia se esta recuperando; los doctores dicen que su recuperación tal vez se tarde un año o más. Aunque ella ya responde y se puede mover un poco en su lado izquierdo, pero todavía necesita mucho cuidado médico, ella necesita pasar por otra cirugía en su cabeza y tiene que ir a rehabilitación, y necesita medicamento, pañales, comida especial (no puede comer muchas cosas sólidas) y más.
Pero también les pedimos ayuda para poder sacar a sus hijos adelante, a causa de este accidente ella perdió su trabajo, su única entrada de dinero y no puede cuidar a sus ninos.
Estamos pidiendo ayuda para pagar algunos de sus gastos (como madre y médicos), como yo también soy madre soltera de dos y no gano suficiente para ayudar suficientemente.
