Science kits for Schools in Ladakh

This summer, I am volunteering at Leh, Ladakh working with Amrita Seattle, a 501(c)3 international non-profit dedicated to serving underprivileged communities in Asia, Africa and USA.

Sakti, a village situated in the remote part of the Himalayas near Leh, the capital of Ladakh, I will be volunteering at the Manjushree Lamdon School. 

There, I will be working at libraries established by Amrita Seattle.  I will be teaching hands-on science lessons to students between 5th and 8th grade about magnetism, electrical circuits, the periodic table, etc.

I will be taking school supplies and science kits like microscopes, simple machine models, and light refraction prisms, and snap circuits to help children understand the fundamental science concepts with fun classroom experiments.

I will be teaching about 5-6 classes per day with 50 students per class.  I am requesting your donations so I can raise enough money for the science kits.
