Support for Jeff's Heart Valve Replacement Surgery

In early February, Jeff went into AFIB and was rushed to the hospital. After many tests, it was determined that he has 50% leakage in one of the valves of his heart. The heart and aorta are also enlarged. On Tuesday, March 26th, he will undergo open heart surgery to have the leaky valve replaced at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. At the same time, their son Max suffered a seizure and was also rushed to the hospital. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor and will have a detailed MRI the same day as Jeff's surgery to map out the tumor and prepare for the surgery to remove the tumor at the end of April or early May. As if this wasn't enough for the family to deal with, Marty recently found out that their health coverage with Zion Health Share will only cover $50,000 of the costs, if anything, which is nowhere near the amount that is needed! Jeff's company recently changed health care coverage companies, and the new company is fighting to cover these items. Jeff will be in the hospital for at least 7 days before recovering at home. He will be unable to return to work for at least 3 months. Marty will be off work for a few weeks to assist Jeff initially, and will also be traveling to Michigan for Max's surgery.
