Schulz Rink of Dreams

Some people search their entire lives to find a way to leave behind a legacy. For one man it was as simple as turning his barn into a place to play hockey. 15 years ago Paul Schulz's goal was to give the community a place to play his favorite game and we are so fortunate to be able to keep his dream/legacy alive. The rink runs from the time the ground freezes until spring decides to kick the ice out. This is a not for profit ice rink for the community ran by a group of amazing volunteers, the ice is free of charge but there are still many expenses that go into putting the rink up year to year. Some expenses include gas for the zamboni, electricity, and caulk for cracks on the ground to keep water from seeping while we flood the rink. Heating the locker and lobby areas. Glass is a huge cost which is why we have had to put up plywood in areas where glass has been broken. As well as things that break down throughout the season and day to day maintenance to keep the rink safe for all who enjoy using it. As we go into our 15th season of the rink we would be eternally grateful for any help the community could give us. We could not do this without the help we receive from the community. Thank you sincerely from the entire Schulz Family.
