Hi everyone!

First of all, thank you for taking the time to read this.  My husband, Mike and I are asking for your help.  For those of you that don't know, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer September of 2014.  It was one month before our wedding.  Needless to say it felt like our world bottomed out when we found out.  With the help of our family and friends, we had a fabulous wedding!  We also relied on many as I went through my treatment.  I celebrated my one year anniversary on July 2, 2016 and feel great!

Mike and I were hoping to start a family after we were married, but obviously those plans were put on hold.  We were lucky that we were able to freeze embryos before I started chemotherapy.  We were given permission to start our family as of May 2016.

July 16, 2016 we transferred our embroyos (We had 3 of them.) into me.  It was very cool to see!  We left the doctor's office so excited to finally have started our family.  Unfortunately, on July 26, 2016 we found out that the transfer didn't work and I wasn't pregnant.  We used all of the embroyos that we had so we had none left.  We were devasted.

This left us with a choice to make because Mike and I want that family that we have dreamed about for more than two years now.  We have decided to use a donor egg to have childern.  We get an egg (actually all of her eggs from the extraction) from a wonderful woman who is willing to donate to us.  This egg is fertilized with Mike's sperm and transferred into me.

This is the best option for us because I really want to be pregnant.  I want that experience.  I want it all - the maternity clothes, the cravings, the expansion of my belly & possibly the morning sickness.  I want to experience it all.  Using a donor egg also has a better chance of being successful.  We don't have to worry as much about genetic issues (the donor will be less than 30 years old) and I know that I won't be passing down the BRCA1 gene to our children.

We are incredibly blessed that this is an option for us.  We are also incredibly blessed that my insurance will cover both my and the donor's medicinces and procedures.  What it doesn't cover is the fees:  the agency fee, the donor's compensation, the donor's travel or the lawyer fees.  When you add all of these fees up, it becomes an incredibly expensive option - close to $20, 000 to be exact.

This is where you come in, we are working very hard to pay for this on our own, but could use some help.  If you could help out that would be great.  If you could pass this on to anyone that you think would be able to help, that would be great.   We don't like having to ask our family and friends for help, but this is more than we anticipated and it is putting a bit of a financial strain on us.

Thank you again for reading this.  Thank you again for anything that you can do to help us as we start our family.
