Robert Schuerman was flying a Cessna 172 in the Middle East on the morning of September 22nd when the engine failed. The plane spiraled and crashed, ushering him into the Kingdom of Heaven. Cheryl (his wife) was close by, on that side of the world and waiting for covid test results before flying the short distance to be reunited with him after six months of separation. They were able to talk and see one another via Zoom the morning before he flew. He passed away doing his favorite thing: serving the Lord from the cockpit of an airplane.
After more than 20 years of service to others and more than 15 as a pilot and instructor, Robert leaves a legacy of close relationships with family and friends all over the world, all of whom will grieve him very deeply.
This fundraiser is specifically to raise funds for his children located all over the country to travel to be together, as well as supplement unpaid absences from work. If anyone would like to contribute in a more private way, please reach out in a private message and I (Heidi) will let you know how. We covet you’re prayers as we process, travel, and grieve.
