Dear Potential Contributor,
I am writing to ask you to partner with the Beulah Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC), a 501C3 nonprofit organization devoted to serving the needs of the Deanwood Heights community with a holistic approach by offering such services as a food bank, clothes closet, GED program, affordable housing, and many more.
Your help is needed with event funding and or providing book bags with schools supplies for at least 300 children living in the Deanwood Heights community in Washington, DC. For many years, BCIC and Beulah Baptist Church have supplied the Deanwood Heights community youth between the ages of 4-18 with book bags and school supplies.
The Deanwood Heights community is one of the lowest income communities in Washington, DC. Many of the families living here are living below minimal wage. BCIC has made a positive impact in the community and these families have come to look toward BCIC each year for support in the area of book bags and school supplies. We would welcome whatever assistance you can provide. You are also invited to participate on-site as we have a back to school program and then present the school supplies to the community.
