An Education for Bertine
Donation protected
Bertine Lakjohn is a 9th grade student at Majuro Cooperative School, a small private school on a tiny island in the middle of the Pacific. Tuition at this rigorous accredited American International School is $220 a month. To many I know this does not sound like much, but to most people of the Marshall Islands this is a small fortune.
Bertine's mom is having serious health problems. The local hospital sent both of her parents to the Phillipines to seek treatment. Bertine is now living with her older brother and younger sister. They have been unable to make a tuition payment this school year.
Bertine is an exceptional scholar. She is at the top of her class with a 3.8 GPA. She excels in all subjects areas and dreams of going to medical school, becoming a doctor and returning to help the people of the Marshall Islands.
Please consider making a small contribution today to help Bertine continue her education at Co-op! If Bertine does not make a payment soon she will risk losing her spot in school.
