School Supplies and Typhoon Carina
Donation protected
The Philippine Institute for Development Studies has found that a lack of educational funding has directly impacted the learning outcomes of students from less developed areas and schools.
With the Kabalikat sa Pagturo Act recently being signed into law, the Act serves to increase the allowance given to government teachers to help reduce the out-of-pocket expenses made to buy general school supplies for students. However, with some classrooms swelling to 70 students, concerns that the amount of allowance teachers will be given will still not be enough raises the ongoing issue of school supplies taking a financial toll on teachers and students alike.
Your Impact
£1 can provide 4 notebooks, or 10 pencils, or 2 packs of chalk that can be used to increase efficiency and quality of education in a classroom.
With your help, we can provide general school supplies to local schools around the Laguna area.
Typhoon Carina
We are also setting aside a portion of the overall donations towards Tulong Kabataan to help raise money for victims of Typhoon Carina.
Maraming Salamat! Thank you for #MakingALegacy with us.
