School of Navigation and Seamanship: A Missions Movement

Donation protected
I'm writing to you today with an update! Since being home from South Africa, I have been working hard and pursuing my online degree in Social Work at Liberty University. My heart for serving others has only grown stronger and I am trusting in God’s plan for my next steps.

As many of you know, I graduated from the Discipleship Training School (DTS) at Youth With A Mission last June. That experience was a time I will never take for granted. Not only did I learn so much about the rich culture of South Africa, but it also significantly strengthened my faith, broadened my perspective on the world and fostered incredible personal growth. After graduating DTS, I have the opportunity to attend a secondary school, which provides a concentrated focus on specific areas of missions.

I am excited to share that I've been accepted to the School of Navigation and Seamanship, from April 9th to mid-September!

I will spend 11 weeks of intensive training in the principles of navigation aboard a 100ft sailing vessel, with a final exam and accreditation through the Royal Yachting Association. The second 11 weeks of the program involves an outreach to the remote Pacific Island communities, where access is only possible by boat. We'll be delivering supplies, Bibles, and providing basic medical aid to the islanders.

This is a unique opportunity to combine my love for sailing with my passion for missions. My hope for this upcoming program is that it will be another incredible opportunity to serve people who do not have access to basic needs, similar to my time in South Africa.

This secondary school is a significant investment, both in time and finances. The program costs $10,600 which covers tuition/room and board/food/course textbooks ($4,600) and outreach ($6,000). Whether it’s through one time or monthly donations, or prayer, my hope is that we can work alongside each other in this season!

I believe this program will equip me with valuable skills and knowledge that I can use as I pursue missions abroad, a career in social work and my lifelong goals to share the gospel with the nations. I'm excited to embark on this journey and I would be so grateful for your support.

With gratitude,
