I have competed at YAGP, and WBAC where I placed 1st in Classical at the Semi-finals and placed in the top 10 at the WBAC finals in Canada 11/2017.
I recently auditioned to School of American Ballet in New York for thier summer intensive and recieved my congratulation letter the other day.
Dear Mckenna Johnson, (taken from my congrats letter)
Congratulations! You have been accepted to the School of American Ballet’s 2018 Summer Course. We audition over 2000 students each year in search of the best candidates for the Summer Course, and you are one of a select group to be invited this year."
More than 2000 ballerinas audition for this elite training and they choose only 200 ballerinas and I was selected! I am so very excited and I plan to attend and work hard, train harder and stay centered and focused to achieve my goal of a professional ballerina.
The reason for my gofundme page is to ask if anyone would like to help me get there, the tuition and room/board is almost 6000.00 and that doesn't include my airplane ticket. My mom has been supporting me alone and she works very hard to support me, my mom has given me so much and she is always working hard and I know she will find a way to get me there because she loves me and she believes in me. But I want to help her, so I am hoping that I can walk dogs on my days off, I can clean someone's house, I am good at food prepping. I do my own laundry, so I could do your laundry, I can also wash windows, your car, I can babysit or I can sit with your grandparents and visit them. I am able to do so many things to help anyone that needs something done.

The total fees you must pay in order to attend the 2018 Summer Course are as follows:
Registration Fee: $75
In-house Activity Fee: $150
Room & Board: $3,145 (for those who choose to live in the Residence Hall)
Laundry Fee: $12 (for those who choose to live in the Residence Hall - covers unlimited use of laundry machines for those living in the Residence Hall)
Note that due to the constraints of our Summer Course scholarship budget, it is not possible to apply for need-based financial aid. SAB will unfortunately not be able to offer any assistance to help defray the fees you must pay to enroll.
To reserve your space in the Summer Course, you must pay the following deposit(s) by the date outlined in your acceptance letter:
$700 Tuition and Fees Deposit
$725 Residence Hall Deposit (if you wish to reside in the Residence Hall)
Approximately three weeks after you have completed the initial enrollment steps, SAB's registrar will contact you with instructions for making your balance payment, which will be due by April 1, 2018.
