Hi, I'm Audrey Mayernik and I recently found out that I've been accepted into the School of American Ballet. This has been a dream of mine ever since I can remember!
I've dedicated majority of my life to dance. When I'm not in ballet at Project Ballet in my hometown of Ft. Wayne, IN, I'm probably at The Colony training with my Chicago family or on the road being inspired at some of my favorite conventions.
For me, none of this would be possible without the support and guidance and belief in me from some mentors that really understand how deep my passion for dance, most specifically, ballet runs. This year I was selected as a mentee by the incredible Alison Stroming. Having her love and guidance throughout this year has been the most magical experience.
Because of my various scholarships and mentee position, I've been very lucky in getting to travel to work with my biggest inspirations with little financial need. This has been possible with the support of my mom (my biggest cheerleader) who works so hard to give my twin brother and I the best life she possibly can.
I know that this opportunity will not be possible for my Mom who already goes above and beyond to support me by just getting me to these training opportunities as a single mom but an experience like GETTING ACCEPTED INTO SAB was not something we could have planned on.
My hard work is paying off! But this trip will not be possible with the help of those who believe in me!
I'm going to need support covering the costs of the Intensive ($925), Travel to NYC ($575), hotel or airbnb accommodations for a full week in NY ($2000), Food/ Metro Pass/ and other unexpected expenses ($500).
I just received notice this past weekend and am expected to come up with the deposit of $475 in a few short days. If you could help me make this dream come true I will never forget it. Even just sharing this page will help me in a tremendous way.
As a gift I'll write personal Thank You cards with photos from my trip included to all that donate. You will never understand how much your support of making this dream come true for me will mean. Every little bit helps! With the right support, everything is possible.
