Who are we and what are we raising funds for?

We are YNS English Course, a grassroots community-based English school in Seririt, North Bali. Founded in 2019 by Mr. Nyoman Sanjana (Mr. Jero) and his wife Mrs. Derin, YNS was built on their own land with nothing more than passion, commitment, and love for their community. Today, YNS serves over 100 students aged 10 to 18 — children and young people who otherwise would not have access to affordable English education.

We are raising funds to help keep YNS running and growing. These funds will go toward improving our facilities, buying English books and learning tools, supporting our local volunteer teachers, and covering basic operational costs.

Why is this cause important to us?

In North Bali, many families struggle to afford extra education for their children. Public schools often lack the resources to offer strong English programs, yet English is essential for accessing opportunities in tourism, higher education, and international employment — especially in Bali’s evolving economy.

YNS is more than a school. It’s a safe space, a second home, and a symbol of hope for the children of Seririt. We've seen our students grow in confidence, expand their dreams, and even secure jobs abroad. One of our proudest achievements is seeing students successfully pass cruise ship interviews and now working internationally — a life-changing outcome made possible through English skills.

How will the funds be used?

Your generous donations will:

Help repay part of the loan taken by the founders to build the school

Support daily operational costs (teaching materials, utilities, maintenance)

Assist in upgrading basic facilities and resources

Sustain volunteer teachers who give their time and heart to this mission

Every contribution, no matter the size, will help relieve the financial burden on the founders and ensure that YNS can continue to serve the children of Seririt.

How will the funds be transferred and managed?

The fundraiser is being coordinated from Europe to ensure transparency and ease of international donations.

Funds will be collected via this platformand managed by the organizer. All funds will then be transferred to Bali via Wise, directly to the YNS English Course team. Regular updates, photos, and progress reports will be shared to show how your contributions are making a difference.
