School in the Hills, HELP THEM LEARN

I/we are raising funds to build a school for disadvantaged children in a rural community in Sri Lanka. Every child deserves safe and stress-free access to education.
Your support will help ensure there is a classroom for up to 50 impoverished students.
In November ( 2023 ) I walked 500 km ( 300 miles ) BAREFOOT along NSW South Coast Beaches to kick the fundraiser off. I made it and collectively.
we raised $11,0000. Thanks for all your giving a caring.
That will allow us to purchase about 8000 bricks and 200 bags of cement for the construction of the floor and walls.
Next is the roofing and furniture, so your support/donations would be appreciated and help us get this school finished for attendance mid in 2024.
Why Sri Lanka? I was part of an amazing team called Project Galle 2005/06 who helped Sri Lankan communities impacted by the 2005 Boxing Day Tsunami. During this time, I was blessed to work alongside two magical Sri Lankans who have spent their lives helping others. We know from talking to the community that they urgently need a school - a school will truly make a difference in the lives of these children & their families in the region.
Land was purchased in Walapane, Sri Lanka 5 years ago for the project and currently, half of it is being utilized as a communal veggie garden/children's playground.
When the school is completed there will be basic accommodation on top of it that will allow tourists/travelers/volunteers to spend time within the community helping out in the classroom and vegetable garden. The accommodation will be offered at a minimum price and any revenue received will go back into funding the school and supporting the community.
Today I am asking you to donate to help buy materials to finish the school . We NEED your help. Our fundraising target is US$25,000 by July 2024.
