School flooded in small village in Spain.

On September 3rd, 2023, a storm hit several regions of Spain with torrential downpours. Arcicollar (Toledo) is a really small rural and humble village that got hit really hard. The stream that runs through this town overflowed, flooding multiple houses and the school.

It´s gonna take a while until authorities can take care of all the things that need to be fixed in the school building, and the kids have been displaced to the library and the city hall. Parents and other volunteers are doing their best to recover and clean anything that is still usable, but pretty much anything that is not made out of plastic will end up in the trash.

Please, consider helping this Parents Association of San Blas Elementary School so that they can buy supplies for their school and these kids can start the school year in the best possible way. All the funds raised will be sent to AMPA San Blas and this Asociation will coordinate with teachers to fulfill the most urgent needs.

El 3 de septiembre de 2023, una fuerte tormenta (dana) azotó varias regiones españolas dejando atrás inundacines y muchos daños materiales y personles. Arcicóllar (Toledo) es un pueblo muy pequeño y humilde, y ha sufrido el impacto de las lluvias torrenciales significativamente. El arroyo que atraviesa el pueblo se desbordó inundando varios hogares y la escuela.

Pasará algún tiempo hasta que las autoridades se puedan hacer cargo de la reparación que el edificio necesita para volver a ser un lugar seguro. Los niñ@s comenzarán el curso escolar en la biblioteca municipal y en el Ayuntamiento. Padres y voluntarios están haciendo todo lo posible para recuperar y limpiar cualquier material que sea rescatable, pero prácticamente todo lo que no sea plástico terminará en la basura.

Por favor, consideren ayudar a esta Asociación de Padres y Madres del Colegio San Blas para que puedan comprar útiles y materiales y ayudar a

que estos estudiantes puedan comenzar el curso escolar de la mejor manera posible. Todos los fondos recaudados se entregarán al AMPA San Blas y esta asociación se coordinará con los profesores para cubrir las necesidades más urgentes.
