Hello, my name is Stella. During my time in Lebanon, I met a young single mother with three daughters. Last year, we managed to cover the girls' school fees for a year; the photo shows them in their school uniforms. Originally from Iraq, the family fled to Lebanon a few years ago and is currently awaiting approval for asylum in Australia. After the mother and children converted to Christianity, the father and extended family disowned them. The mother lost her job due to the war and school fees have risen—just like the cost of everything else in Lebanon. If we can raise €3,600, the three girls will be able to attend school for another year. They are bright, lively girls who simply aspire to have a somewhat normal childhood. The mother has endured great hardship and wants nothing more than a dignified life for her daughters. All donations go directly to the family.
