School Climbing Wall Equipment

Basalt High School is raising funds to equip our school's climbing wall. The wall is a school and community effort to introduce the growing sport of rock climbing to area youth and provide a safe, controlled environment to learn the skills and techniques of this wonderful sport. Many of our students come from low-socioeconomic standings and would not otherwise have exposure to rock climbing, so by providing this opportunity for students in their physical education classes and after-school clubs, we are exposing these students to an opportunity they would otherwise miss out on. In addition, this facility will work with our Experiential Education Program to teach students about rock climbing then take them outdoors to appreciate this sport in nature and learn about environmental ethics and stewardship.

CONSTRUCTION STARTS DECEMBER 15th! WE NEED TO RAISE FUNDS SO STUDENTS CAN CLIMB ON IT!

We are looking for donations to provide harnesses and climbing shoes in a variety of sizes, as well as, ropes and belay devices so all Basalt students can use this new addition! We're so close to making this a reality!
