Every child deserves a safe journey to school—but for many in rural Uganda, that journey is long, exhausting, and dangerous.

Some children walk up to 5 miles every morning, often leaving their homes before sunrise, navigating rough terrain in the dark. Others arrive precariously perched on the back of motorbike taxis, a risky and unreliable form of transport. These are not the conditions any child should face simply to access an education.

On 25th July, teachers and students will be walking to, and climbing, Kagulu Rock in order to help to raise money for a school bus. Please support their effort by donating on this page.

Christian Relief Uganda is raising funds to purchase a school bus to provide a safe, reliable mode of transport for these children. With your help, we can make sure they arrive at school not tired or afraid, but refreshed, ready to learn, and full of potential.
