Help us fund scholarships and travel for extraordinary workshops that serve emerging BIPOC actors.

This is the 5th year that Encompass Collective (led by Jenelle Chu & Chalia La Tour), the Visit (led by Budi Miller, Taylor Barfield & Julian Elijah Martinez), and Celebration Barn have partnered to produce two week-long workshops for artists of color.

Since 2022, we have served over 100 students, many of whom pay as little as $100 for a full week of training and housing, as well as travel.

Now we are raising funds to underwrite the cost for students in need to attend the Encompass Collective Summer Retreat (June 7–13) and The Visit (June 14–20) this year!

Initiatives that serve underrepresented communities are under attack. Now more than ever, we need the support of our community to sustain these affordable training opportunities for BIPOC actors, opportunities to take their work to the next level, to connect with their peers, and to learn how to navigate the field as professionals.

These workshops have had a profound impact on students. One student wrote: "Thank you to Encompass Collective, Budi Miller, and Celebration Barn for hosting one of the most transformative experiences of my life! I have made some lifelong friends and memories that I’ll cherish forever!”

Another wrote: "My experience was transformative. I cannot yet fully put into words everything I learned, took away, and the fears I let go. The Barn allowed me to dive into a deep vulnerable place and start to unlock my voice."

Your donation will be directly passed on to a student:

- $700 will cover a student's registration fee and housing.

- $100 will cover the cost of travel from New York City to the Barn and back.

- A gift of any amount will make a difference
