As we all know, this has been a really rough year for the Class of 2021. Because of the pandemic, these kids left school on March 13th of last year, and most have never returned. They lost out on all the things that Seniors get to do, and because their parents kept them home, they were not able to get a job to help pay for college, either.
The College Center has not been able to hold an in person fundraiser in 14 months. Like last year, I am hoping that the friends and graduates of DMHS will support these students by donating to the Grings Memorial Scholarship Fund. These kids were amazing in quarantine, with acceptances ranging from our local Cal States to the Ivy League. They are ready to start their adventures in college, but financial aid awards don't always cover everything. I am hoping you will help the Class of 2021 begin college secure in knowing that their bills are paid.
