Scholarship fund for Mrs. Matere's sons
Donation protected
Our beloved teacher, Mrs. Matere, laid her husband to rest this past weekend after his sudden death on May 14th. Together, they have two sons, Stanley, who is currently an engineering student at Louisiana Tech, and James who will graduate from Sachse High School on May 31st and head off to college as well. Recognizing the extra financial pressure caused by having two college students, we would like to provide financial support to Mrs. Matere to help defray those costs.
Throughout the 17 years Mrs. Matere has dedicated to her 1-3 classroom at Dealey, her commitment to academic excellence has never wavered. Her passion for ensuring her students’ success is evident in the smiles on her current and former students’ faces. They share their memories of academic challenges, but equally important they speak of the love they have for their nurturing teacher.
Thank you to all who have sent meals, emails, texts, visited, and held Mrs. Matere and her sons in your thoughts and prayers. Your kindness and generosity is deeply appreciated.
