Annabelle (me :-) is turning 40!
And what she (I) really, really, really....REALLY want is to start a scholarship fund for our weekly homeschool nature programs that will be held at our farm in Soquel starting this September.
This is a momentous transition! I am moving from my fourth to fifth decade and in the spirit of this celebration and my deep commitment to be of service to my community, we are hosting a private fundraiser dinner/birthday party at HOME Restaurant in Soquel - MONDAY, September 14 at 5:30 PM.
Donations of any amount would be awesome through this portal, but it would be the most wonderful gift if you could join me at the event! If you are unable to attend, we are grateful for your support of our nature and Permaculture education programs that we are providing to our children.
To reserve your seat at the party, I am asking for sliding scale donation of $80-$150. We will send you formal invitation once received.
The fundraising birthday celebration will feature our home grown lamb, chicken and rabbit along with favorites from Chef Brad, and a selection of local wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
My goal is to raise enough money to provide full and partial scholarships for at least five families in our community. For your reference, each six week session is $240 per child, or 4 sessions at $960/year.
We will host a silent auction at the event - please let me know directly if you have an auction item to donate!!!
COVID-19 note:
We are very respectful of the current state of our immediate and global community and understand that you might not want to venture out to an event right now. All current regulations in regards to gatherings and social events will be followed. You can invite your “germ-bonded” POD family and friends to join you at a socially-distanced table if you choose. Or, you can join Annabelle and her crew at a larger, free-choice table. If you choose not attend, you can support the program and my birthday wish with a donation in any amount.
I am so grateful to know you. And I am also very honored to know that you support my passion to serve our children and community by providing our kids and families with this critical nature education program, that is importantly and firmly rooted in Permaculture principles.
