Scholarship Fund in Memory of Eileen Reilly Ryan

Hi,

Our sweet, wonderful mom passed away on March 23, 2022. We miss her dearly.

In addition to being our amazing mom, she was a high school teacher and college professor from Pennsylvania. She was also a frequent visitor to the Half Moon in Montego Bay, her home away from home. The mother of three children, she was married for 62 wonderful years and was schooled in economics, latin literature, law and several languages. Her sweet smile and genuine care for her friends at the Half Moon endeared her to the many who visit her simple memorial behind Half Moon Cottage 7 where she stayed often from 1980 to 2022. Long days on the beach reading her books and doing her crossword puzzles are among the memories of Eileen shared by so many.

We are happy to award this scholarship to honor her friends at the Half Moon and her commitment to education and lifelong learning. The funds raised will go to the children of the Half Moon Hotel who embody her love for learning and consistently raise the bar, as she did in everything!
