Scholarship for public health grad students in Hue, Vietnam
Tax deductible
Check out the smiling faces of these public health students at Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Hue, Vietnam. Behind those smiles is something you can’t see -- a story of determination and resilience.
Some students in the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) class completed their assignments without owning a personal computer. They had the mindset and skillset to succeed but lacked a critical tool—their own computer.
How did they manage? By borrowing a friend’s laptop or using public access computers in the department library.
For the fifth year, MEDRIX will award scholarship laptops to two deserving students on the last day of the GIS class. The recipients are chosen by the public health faculty based on two criteria:
1. High potential to make a meaningful impact in public health
2. Limited family financial resources
We need your support to make this happen! A $1,800 fundraising goal will ensure this year’s students both receive the laptop tools they need. Every donation helps—join us in empowering the next generation of Vietnamese public health professionals.
