Molly Schmidt Family Fire Fund

My sister Molly, her kids, and our mother who lives with them are having to rebuild after a devastating fire caused extensive damage to their home in Cumming, GA on Tuesday night. They are extremely grateful that everyone was able to get out of the house safely, and they were able to save their animals as well. They are unable to return to live in their home for an unknown period of time, but luckily have living arrangements already for the time being.

Molly rents the home, and the homeowner has homeowners insurance to cover the structural damages. Unfortunately, Molly’s renter’s insurance has lapsed, so all personal property will not be not covered. The fire got inside the duct systems and the entire house was affected. Everything inside their house, including furniture, clothes, etc. has to be replaced. If the fire didn’t damage something directly, the smoke and soot, or water from the hoses damaged it.

Her family has already had an outpouring of love and support, and they appreciate each and every one of you!
