Hi, ich bin Emilia.

Ich identifiziere mich als nicht-binär und nutze er/ihm und sie/ihr Pronomen.

Nachdem ich mir lange Zeit gesagt habe, dass ich meine Top Surgery (die Anpassung meiner Brust an meine Bedürfnisse) mache, wenn ich 30 bin, habe ich dieses Jahr gemerkt, dass ich nicht länger warten kann.

Ich will nicht noch drei Sommer darüber nachdenken, ob ich wirklich an den See fahren will. Ich will nicht mehr morgens in den Spiegel schauen und mich in meinem eigenen Körper unwohl fühlen. Ich will nicht mehr 5 Outfits anprobieren und mich am Ende für das unauffälligste entscheiden, weil alle Oberteile falsch sitzen oder meine Brust zu sehr betonen. Ich will nicht mehr belästigt werden, weil mein Brust das einzige ist, was Männers wahrnehmen. Ich will nie wieder BHs kaufen müssen.

Ich will mich in meinem Körper wohlfühlen und mich ausdrücken können, mich repräsentiert fühlen. Dieser Teil, der sich nicht anfühlt, als würde er zu mir gehören, muss weg.

Leider existiert im deutschen medizinischen Kontext Nicht-Binarität nicht und Gender-Disphorie (das Unwohlsein im eigenen Körper aufgrund einer Abweichung zwischen dem gefühlten und wahrgenommenen Geschlecht) wird für nicht-binäre nicht diagnostiziert.

Eine Top Surgery wird dementsprechend auch nur in den seltensten Fällen von der Krankenkasse übernommen.

Hier brauche ich eure Hilfe: Ich versuche, eine Kostenübernahme zu bekommen, doch ist es so unwahrscheinlich, dass ich leider um eure finanzielle Unterstützung bitten muss.

Sollte wider aller Erwartungen meine Krankenkasse doch zustimmen, werde ich die eingenommenen Spenden an eine Orga oder andere Person, die es braucht, weiterspenden.

After telling myself for a long time that I would have my top surgery (adjusting my chest to my needs) when I turned 30, I realized this year that I can't wait any longer.

I don't want to spend three more summers contemplating whether I really want to go to the lake. I don't want to look in the mirror in the morning and feel uncomfortable in my own body. I don't want to try on five outfits and end up choosing the most inconspicuous one, because all tops either fit weirdly or accentuate my chest. I don't want to be harassed because my chest is the only thing men notice. I never want to have to buy a bra again.

I want to feel comfortable in my body, I want to be able to express myself and be represented. This part that doesn't feel like it belongs must go.

Unfortunately, non-binarity does not exist in the German medical context, and gender dysphoria (feeling uncomfortable in one's own body due to a deviation between one's felt and perceived gender) is not diagnosed for non-binary people.

Accordingly, top surgery is only covered by health insurance in the rarest of cases for non-binary people.

This is where I need your help: I am trying to get the costs covered, but it is so unlikely that I unfortunately have to ask for your financial support.

If, against all expectations, my health insurance does agree, I will donate the money raised to an organization or other person who needs it.
