#scenechange

#scenechange
began as an email exchange ‘Dialogue in Strange Times’ between a small group of UK Set & Costume Designers during the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic and subsequent closures of our theatre industry during 2020.

We are now a wide reaching community of theatre designers and practitioners growing to over 1500 members.

Organised and run by a small group of volunteers, brought together through our shared interest in  ART, ADVOCACY and ACTION in support of the theatre industry and its arts workforce.

As businesses in other sectors began to reopen, the doors of theatres remained firmly shut, continuing to do so well into 2021. We want to show our theatres and community across the UK and beyond some LOVE. Highlighting both the ongoing impact of Covid-19 on our sector and profession and what we as an industry, our audiences, and local communities are missing from this now blasted cultural landscape in the UK.

Your donation will be used towards –

·       Supporting our professional Zoom account, Zoom events, social media and website developement and running costs. All used to facilitate our cross theatre industry conversations and advocacy work.

·       Covering the costs of materials used in developing and producing public art actions and interventions, such as our #missinglivetheatre tape and billboard campaigns, and the recently published first edition of #zinechange.

·       Also moving forward through 2021, supporting #scenechange's efforts to develop a company/collective model that is sustainable for all involved, and will allow us to continue this important advocacy work for our profession and industry well into the future :)

PLEASE HELP US SPREAD THE LOVE!
