If you know me, you know I HATE to ask for help. Whether it's to lift something heavy, get a project done at work, almost anything...I'm just not good at it.
But I need a little help. So I am asking...
On March 20 I had open back surgery to regain full control of my left leg and reduce the pain that I had in my lower back. It was mostly successful, but the recovery hasn't gone as planned.
I have been off work and will be off work until May. With only 12 days of paid leave, I have a huge loss in income. As a single mom, this is devastating me. My work has a criminal Short Term Disability plan with a 30 day off requirement. There was simply no way to go without income for that long, especially when I've been capable of working from home some. I like to be functional and capable!!
The rest that I have needed and taken was very necessary! I know my recovery is tied to my ability to rest and work as I listen to my body.
I want to be back to 100%! Active! Hiking, biking, walking, dancing!! So rest is key to achieving that goal.
I'm not asking for more than I need, I just need help bridging the gap between what my full time wage was and what I'be been able to work, which is about 50% capacity.
Anything will help. Thank you for considering.
