Scary Jerry Riggins Motorcycle Crash Relief Fund

"Scary Jerry" Riggins" was gravely injured in a serious motorcycle accident Friday 9.27.19 and was life flighted to a hospital in Kingsport, TN. He was having a great day riding home from VA on new Kawasaki Ninja 400 he had just purchased. Near Bean Station a Honda Pioneer UTV came out of the woods and crossed the rood in front of him. He did not have time to stop or avoid a collision.
We are asking for help to cover costs associated with medical bills and other expenses incurred in this tragedy. Jerry and his family live in Louisville, TN between Knoxville and Maryville. His wife Doreen and daughter Tracy are also traveling back and forth to Kingsport to spend as much time with him as possible and still care for his dogs and cats back home.
This is the latest information I have on his medical condition.
His left femur has an external brace. That bone had broken through the skin.
His left lower leg has fractures to his tibia and fibia above his ankle.
He has another external brace in on his right lower leg. I am not sure if it's both or just one bone.
There are bi-lateral fractures to his pelvis, they are not displaced, fortunately.
There are fractures to both of his upper arms, I'm not sure of the severity.
He has low blood pressure.
He has a liver laceration causing some internal bleeding.
They have him intubated (breathing tube) and he is in an induced coma.
The positives we know.
No known head or spine issues.
He was wearing riding gear so he does not have road rash.
We are hoping to get him stable enough to be transferred to a hospital here in Knoxville to be closer to his family and friends.
All funds will go directly to Jerry and Doreen to use as they need. The $10, 000 figure I set when creating this relief fund is an arbitrary number. I do not know what they will need but know that any help will be graciously received in this time of need.
