Hi, my name is Coreena and I'm putting this go fund me together for Allyson White and Mike Johnson to help raise funds for their daughter Scarlett's surgery at Sick Kids Hospital this summer. Scarlett was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. She had her first surgery in December 2020 at the age of 7, which consisted of a neurological spinal surgery (SDR) to help her spasticity. As she continues to grow and get older, she constantly fights involuntarily with her muscles and nerves which has been progressively getting more tight and this has caused her hips to dislocate and displace. Over the last year, she has been continuously getting worse, to the point that she can no longer walk or stand comfortably with her walker, and her activities of daily living have also diminished. She is now in extreme pain on a daily basis and confined to her wheelchair. We have been patiently waiting for her surgery to come and thankfully we finally received a date! She is scheduled for the very extensive surgery on her hips and legs, in hopes of reducing her pain and increasing her mobility.

She will be at Sick Kids for the surgery and then transferred to Holland Bloorview for rehabilitation which will be a lengthy 3 months stay.

Scarlett will be receiving a full hip reconstruction (Varus Derotation Osteotomy - VDRO), Hamstring and Adductor lengthening, and Patellar tendon tightening.

Allyson is self employed and with the lengthly stay at Sick Kids and Holland Bloorview, it will require her to take a large amount of time off of work to be with Scarlett.

I am hoping to raise funds to allow Allyson to stay with her daughter and to assist with unburdening her of the additional stress of being off of work at an already extremely stressful time.
