On July 30th, 2022, Scarlett was diagnosed with Leukemia. She was admitted to the hospital on Monday, August 1st. Tuesday morning she was taken to the OR where she received her medi port, a spinal tap and her first round of Chemo. Scarlett and her parents will have about a 30 day stay at the hospital for this initial round of treatment. Alex and Sue are both spending time with her round the clock. Keeping a busy 3 year old entertained and

confined is a full time job. This will be a long road to remission. Currently, doctors have a 2 1/2 year treatment plan with chemo. We are told this is the most common and most treatable form. Please continue to keep her in your prayers that she will be cured, and that she can tolerate all the side effects of all the medications she's on. Alex and Sue will be taking intermittent leave to care for Scarlett during this time. Any help to ease their financial burden would be a welcome relief. Thank you for loving and supporting Scarlett!
