Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,
After struggling in and out of bed, battling tremendous pain that has plagued her for several years now, my sister Diane Brukin, was informed in March that she would need a knee replacement surgery to continue to walk.
In the past few months her legs have atrophied alarmingly as she's struggled to get around, walk, negotiate stairs or get in-or-out of a car.
We were all prepared to proceed with treatment and then, at the eleventh hour before surgery, we've been informed that ALL expenses are being considered elective and must be paid 100% out of pocket! Even after appeals this week, her Insurance is not willing to pay for surgery nor ANY bills, medication or Physical Therapy related to this.
We have clamored to tally up the initial quotes and found out we are looking at a minimum of $16K just for hospital bills and surgeons fees.
We are beyond grateful for any chance to help Diane so that her legs do not deteriorate any further than this...

You may know her as a friend, a sister, a daughter… for her humor, her laughter, her outspokenness and above all, for her zest for life! Please let's bring her back to that.
The last few months have consisted of our marching forward to find the right doctors to get her legs fixed.
This is what we are asking now... if you too can Pull up those boot straps and march forward with us. Any monetary donation to help fund this surgery so Diane can take the next step would be a blessing.
Every little bit helps, even taking the time to share this post with a friend for their support means more than we could ever begin to thank you for.
She completes our family and I love her dearly. I'm hoping you do too…
We Thank you in advance.
