Our hearts are sad as we realize that Jake has been gone a week now. Jacob had celebrated his 37th birthday just days before his passing.  His death was totally unexpected and has left family and friends in shock.  Jacob was rushed to the emergency room on Sunday night with uncontrollable hemorrhaging.  It was determined on Monday morning that his condition was the result of a rare form of leukemia whose symptoms were so subtle that his illness had remained undiagnosed for possibly months.  Despite the heroic efforts of medical personnel to save his life, Jacob’s condition continued to deteriorate throughout the day, and he passed into eternity to forever be with his Savior at approximately 6:45 in the evening.
As Michaela begins to navigate her journey without her beloved, we are hoping that some of you will be able to lighten her financial load just a little. Medical expenses, funeral expenses, and bills can grow quickly. Nothing will EVER replace or fill the void Jake left in our hearts but we are hoping that this act of grace will provide Michaela the time she needs to heal her heart.
