Jonathan's Fight
Donation protected
Hi friends. My name is Christie Lueck-Tomich, and I am the aunt of Jonathan Hefelfinger.
If you know Jonathan, then you know that he would literally do ANYTHING to help a friend, a family member, a neighbor - or really anyone he comes across. He loves the outdoors, tinkering at the farm, is an avid fisherman and a noteworthy cook. He is an old soul and one of the hardest workers and kindest individuals I know.
Jonathan is 27 years old, and was 6 weeks away from his wedding to Kimberly, when tragedy struck. After suffering from what he thought was allergies, Jonathan received a COVID positive test result a week ago. His symptoms became progressively worse and on Monday, 9/6, he went to the ER with an initial diagnosis of double pneumonia. By Tuesday, 9/7 his situation worsened to where he had to be intubated and is now in the ICU on a ventilator. As of today, there has been no real change, and his ICU doctor said that it's likely Jonathan will be in the ICU for a minimum of 6 weeks. After that, he'll require long-term care for potentially up to a year.
I don't want to minimize his situation - Jonathan is struggling to survive this virus. His ICU doctor says his survival rate is 50/50. He is young, and has no underlying health issues which is in his favor.
My first ask is to please keep Jonathan in your thoughts & prayers. My second ask is to PLEASE, PLEASE get the COVID vaccine and/or booster shot as soon as you can. Many places are accepting walk-ins. And finally, Jonathan has a long road ahead. There will be medical costs and long term care support that he'll require. If you can donate anything on his behalf - it would mean a lot to Jonathan and his fiancé Kimberly.
Please note that all donations will 100% be spent on Jonathan's medical and long term support care needs.
Thank you.
