Dear friends, family, and animal lovers,

Sunday evening (17/08) our beloved and energetic dog Kiara, who is only two years old, was involved in a terrible accident. She was mistakenly kicked by a horse, who she is usually very good friends with, and suffered a devastating injury—Kiara has a 'mid shaft greenstick fracture of the right Radius bone & an adjacent fracture of the Ulna'—a broken leg to you and me.

The only way to save her leg, and her life, is through urgent surgery. Without it, the vets have told us the only other option would be to put her to sleep.

While amputation could technically be considered, because it is one of her front legs and due to her size, this would be an extremely difficult and uncomfortable life for her. The RSPCA has already refused amputation for Kiara's case.

Kiara is currently at the vets, being kept calm and comfortable under sedation, but the cost of the surgery is overwhelming: around £4,000. We could uncomfortably afford part of this cost but the whole sum seems out of reach right now.

Kiara is still just a puppy—she has her whole life ahead of her. She brings joy, comfort, and unconditional love to our lives every single day. We cannot let her story end here, not when there’s a chance to give her the future she deserves.

This is why we are reaching out for help. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards her surgery and recovery. If you are unable to donate, simply sharing this appeal would mean the world to us.

If the unthinkable happens and we do not reach our target, all donations will be refunded back.
