Cancer Treatment Plan
Donation protected
Wayne Hester is a veteran Police Officer who was hired by the Boston Police department on 3/22/1995. Since joining, Wayne has worked in district B2 for 27 years as a patrolman and auto investigator. Wayne was recently transferred to the Range as a Firearms instructor on 9/24/2021. Unfortunately, Wayne was diagnosed with stage 3 prostate cancer on 3/3/2022. Stage 3 Cancer means the cancer has grown in size and may have spread to the surrounding tissue or the lymph nodes (or "glands" and part of the immune system).
Wayne underwent surgery on 5/25/2022 in an attempt to remove the cancer. In the interim, Wayne has been waiting to follow up on several appointments regarding a treatment plan.
At this time, we ask for some assistance to help Wayne along the way. We know he is overwhelmed with the upcoming appointments and treatments, so we would like to alleviate any additional stress for him. There is no donation too big or too small; any amount will help towards the numerous co-pays that Officer Hester is facing.
While officer Hester has been home, he has been enjoying visits from his brothers and sisters and welcomes their company in the future. He appreciates all the love and support he has received thus far from everyone.
