UPDATE - 6/4/25
Hi everyone,
This is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do — but I’m reaching out because my family and I are in a serious crisis and we truly need help.
A little over two months ago, I had to undergo surgery that took me out of work for a while. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to receive any pay during my recovery. Not long after that, my husband lost his job. We’ve been trying everything we can to keep our heads above water, but we are now falling behind on the most basic things — and we’re scared.
We are currently behind on our light bill, water bill, car insurance, and our storage unit. That storage unit holds so many precious things for our baby, and the thought of losing it is heartbreaking.
I’m back at work now, but every penny I earn has to go toward rent. We are struggling to afford gas — both for me to get to work and for my husband to get to his new job. On top of everything, he now needs an emergency dental procedure that we just can’t afford. Insurance is only able to cover a small portion.
We’re not asking for a handout — we’re asking for a lifeline.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help us keep the lights on, keep food on the table, and keep hope in our hearts. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page. Your kindness means more than we can ever express.
We have an autistic son who lives 5 hours away from us. We are trying so hard to get caught up so we can take a couple of days and go visit him. He lives with his biological mom. As a stepmother it's hard not being able to see him enough. It's extremely hard on my husband every single day. We are having trouble with our car. We can’t get it fixed. We are not able to drive very far. We don't know how long it will last. Our son's birthday was yesterday. 6/3. We are so behind we can’t even afford to get him any presents. He is the sweetest little bboy. He deserves the world.
With love and gratitude,
The Marshall family
