Help Sayra Lopez
Donation protected
Hello, My name is Nora Carignano I am fundraising for my niece Sayra Lopez with permission from my brother Alan Lopez, Sayra’s father.
What Happened to Sayra?
On December 16th, 2022 at approximately 11:00 AM Sayra Lopez had an accident, the police report indicates that she was a victim of a hit and ran driver, this caused Sayra a big injury on the left side of her brain which left her in a coma for a week.
She woke up and still needs special care 24 hours a day.
Almost half of her skull was removed during the surgery which doctors had to perform to save her life, the bone is stored in the hospital and will be placed back as she recovers.
Now she is getting rehabilitation to learn to talk, breathe, eat, and walk again.
About Sayra
Sayra is a 17-year-old, she was born in Honduras and came to the U.S. back in 2019, Sayra was raised by her grandmother and father, her mother abandoned her when she was 5 years old, she was working at McDonald's to save money to get a bigger apartment and to go back to school.
Why are we fundraising
My brother Alan will need to stay with her at all times, once she comes out of the rehabilitation facility, this will stop him from working.
Being that her recovery will take an extended amount of time not even doctors can tell us how long her recovery would take.
As a family, we are doing everything we can to support her.
Please!!!
Help Sayra and Alan on this long journey this fundraiser will help cover rent, food, monthly bills and medical expenses she’ll need.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for any donation, If you can not donate please share this page, and say a prayer for my niece and brother everything helps.
