No

We have all heard the alarming statistics of domestic violence, not only in Australia but all over the world.

One man, from the small suburb of Epping in Victoria Australia, had a vision to help change all this. Jose (Jay) Perez from JG3 customs, a passionate, humble and caring family man will use his skills as a car fabricator is going to build a ‘HotRod; ambulance that not only raises much needed awareness of domestic violence but bring hope to many people.

Jay and his Ambo will then go on an epic road trip of compassion across Victoria visiting dozens of town and thousands of people raising education, funds and awareness for ‘White Ribbon’.

Director & Producer Natasha Ferré-Bentley from 3 sides Media and Productions got wind of this incredible story of compassion. This unique and interesting road trip jam packed with all of its highs, lows, thrills, skills and insights will now also be featuted at the V8 Supercars, on the hottest TV show on earth, Jeremy Clarkson DRIVETRIBE and made in to a feature documentary to be distributed globally, (think NETFLIX, Amazon)

‘The Hot Lap for Hope’ journey now begins

The adventure will begin in the tiny workshop of JG3 customs in Epping, where Jay, his family, crew and the many fans and volunteers will be working on tirelessly to get the ‘Ambo’ up and going in ONLY 4 weeks. With a whole lot of hope, determination and skill, they will get her on the road and hopefully make their way from Victoria to remote rural towns, where people may not have the same opportunities and access to ‘White Ribbon’ and the amazing work that they do. Here Jay, his brother Vic and son Josh will bring much heartfelt awareness, eduction and support for ending ‘domestic violence’ with their fully reconstructed, decked out 1969 Bedford 'Hotrod' Ambulance of Hope.

The ambulance will not only be spectacular being fully custom made hot rod inside and out but also on the inside, a safe space for all. Then, with with luck and a lot skill on their side, the JG3 team will drive thousands of kilometers around Victoria where the crew will educate and bring awareness to thousands of people. The ‘Ambulance of Hope’ will start at teh V8 super cars, to the Bright road run, The Rosebud Rock'n' roll car show and visit dozens of towns and thousands of people along the way. Finally landing in the Geelong at one of the biggest car meets in the southern hemisphere ‘The Geelong Revival’ 2017. It is there where the real fun and work will begin as they put the Ambo to the ultimate test and how she goes in the Hill climb. There aim will be to draw as much attention to the The ambulance of Hope and the very important message it carries… Say NO to domestic violence.

Why raise awareness for domestic violence?
We know the numbers around domestic violence in Australia are horrifying.
That one in six women and one in 20 men, have experienced violence from a current or former partner since the age of 15.
That more than one woman dies every week on account of violence.

All this is overshadowed by the fact that MOST cases of domestic abuse is left unreported.

Then there's emotional abuse and financial abuse and sexual abuse. Where the absence of physical bruising makes the abuse more difficult to identify, less likely to be discussed, hardly ever reported.

Awareness. Yes, it's one of those words we always hear and say and write down as an-easy-to-swallow solution to complex problems. But in this case, awareness is key.

What is the only way to change that 95 per cent of men and 80 per cent of women who've never contacted the police? To talk about it. To tell the stories of survivors who have been in that exact same position, and gotten out. To show the options: This is what's possible and this is how it's done.

Awareness feeds into education.

Why White Ribbon?
We need to stop violence against women before it happens
This is the work of primary prevention and it is where the work of White Ribbon Australia is focused.

 So what is primary prevention?
Prevention and response to violence can be classified in a number of ways, for example: Primary prevention action is implemented before violence against women occurs and aims to stop the likelihood of men and boys using violence against women and girls. This prevention action does this by addressing the root causes of violence

The White Ribbon social movement and programs focus on primary prevention.

Through education, awareness raising and creative campaigns, preventative programs, partnerships and political advocacy, White Ribbon Australia highlights the positive role men can play to stop violence against women and enables them to be part of this social change.

Jose (Jay), his brother Vic and thousands of supporters world wide believe that raising awareness and discussing these matters can start to make a difference that is needed. White Ribbon are on the forefront of change which is why Jay is supporting them.

How Can you help?

There are many of you globally who are supporters for JG3, Jay and his message, to bring hope and awareness for the thousands of families that are affected by domestic violence each year.

Many of you want to be a part of this movement to raise awareness and now is your chance.

With the making of a feature documentary of Jay’s mission through the state of Victore, the risks that he will be taking (All in the name of supporting ‘White Ribbon’ and awareness, education and support for victims of domestic violence) there will be many costs involved.

However, with your help and donations you will be a part of making history and getting Jay and his hotted up ‘Ambulance of hope’, on the road to visit thousands of Australians and raise awareness for White Ribbon and domestic Violence. Not only will you support this epic adventure but you will also be become an executive producer on a feature documentary which will be distributed to TV’s all over the world bringing more awareness to those in need. Further to that, Jay and Director/Producer Natasha will donate proceeds of the sale of the film to the ‘White Ribbon’ foundation.

So get on board and not only be a part of history but do something amazing.

MEET THE TEAM
J was born into a family of couture leather Artisans & designers in Ubrique Spain.

From an early age J had a hands on approach to life technically minded and a dreamer but not very good at school and ended up dropping out. But Creativeness & Innovation and that Andalusian passion was in his blood.
After a string of jobs in different industries that honed his talents, J finally found his calling and took that artisan historical flair for creativity into a completely different area, Cars.

Working from his garage J began to mix his artisan and fashion skills into all his modifications.
His name soon became synonymous with a quality finish on a shoe string budget and the phrase JG3MAGIC was born.

It didn't take long to outgrow the small garage, so he moved to a small workshop in the backstreets of Epping in Melbourne with little money no fancy equipment and a dream.

J's philosophy was simple, to build cool cars that are accessible to the average person.

The workshop has grown with a few more fabricators working their  jg3magic.

But you will still find no fancy equipment in the workshop and they still use their creative skills to make things out nothing and still on a shoe string budget taking it to the limit.

J's passion to help others has led him to become an advocate to bring awareness to Domestic Violence and a  Zero tolerance to Bullying.

The internets had given J the opportunity to show his work on a global scale and in return we have been blessed to have met many celebrities and influential friends along the way who love what we do.

Using the builds and celebrity friends star power to bring awareness to the cause where ever possible.

His campaign  "Mate that's not acceptable behavior , say No To Domestic Violence" is all about Prevention.

Dreamer, Designer but most importantly he's a Doer, taking it to the limit for one more ride .

His baby brother Vic Perez and not only works at JG3 customs but shares Jay’s dreams and passions for a future of NO domestic Violence and works at JG3 and will be his companion on the greatest road trip for Hope.
