Saying Goodbye to Sophie

Hi all. With such a heavy heart, I'm saying goodbye to my best girl, my loving companion of nearly a decade and friend for longer. Sophie is 14, and has been blessedly clear of health problems for most of her life, until the last few months. She was initially diagnosed with chronic urinary issues that were thought to be treatable but have now been diagnosed as terminal cancer. She was hospitalized with a urinary blockage over the weekend, which will be very expensive to pay for. She's stable enough now to go home, but the vet says it's a matter of time before it happens again, and I have no intention of letting her suffer through that a second time. I've decided to move forward with at-home end-of-life services so that she can say goodbye in the sunshine, while she's still comfortable, and have a nice and happy last day. This will all be very expensive and is an unexpected cost. I know times are tough so DON'T FEEL OBLIGATED - but if you are able to spare anything to help me with this cost, it would mean the world. It doesn't have to be a lot, or anything at all if you're not in a place where you can. These funds will all go toward paying off her vet bill which is currently being estimated at about 2700, and some of the cost of the at-home euthanasia (most has been paid for by two very kind friends).
