Saying Goodbye to Paul Lachapelle
Donation protected
Sadly, Liv's dad, Paul Lachapelle, died unexpectedly last week. Being his next of kin, she is solely responsible for his funeral expenses. As a freshman in college, she does not have the financial resources to cover these without starting her adulthood in severe financial debt. His loss alone has caused her so much pain already.
Paul brought laughter and joy to those who knew him well. You can't really think of him without cracking a smile or enjoying a chuckle over some of his antics you shared with him. He was a great friend and cared deeply about those around him.
He was my partner, my best friend, and the love of my life for the 17 years we were married. In recent years, we worked together to support Olivia and give her the love of two parents.
Olivia was the shining star in Paul's life, his "Sweet Pea", and he did he best to provide for her while he was struggling with his own demons over the past several years. He was so proud of her accomplishments and looked forward to her college graduation in 2023 and who she would become.
The funeral home is working with her and allowing some time for her to raise the monies needed. A private viewing is scheduled this week with a "Celebration of Life" planned for a later date.
We understand it is a challenging time for everyone, but I hope that his friends and family can help ease the additional stressor of her financial burden. No donation is too small!
Please help her if you can. I have covered the up-front costs but unfortunately I can't do any more for her as her college expenses prevent me from doing so.
Love to you all. And may Paul rest in peace.
