Hi everyone, my name is Emma and I'm one of Megan's close friends. Over the last week and a half, Megan has gone through the unthinkable. A little over a week ago Megan learned that her beloved nearly 8 year old puppy, Mia, was diagnosed with sudden onset diabetes in DKA. Mia then struggled with pancreatitis and aspiration pneumonia. Megan made the devastating decision to say goodbye to Mia and let her rest after a 6 day stay at the Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency animal hospital. Poor Mia fought so hard to regain her health and strength and received such great care and love from the amazing staff that worked with her.

In addition with being confronted with the heartbreak of losing her beloved girl so unexpectedly and so young, Megan is now confronted with nearly $11,000 in veterinary bills.
