Hello! We are the Tobin family and we want to ask your help in bringing joy to a lot of people through pretzels.
Back in 2015, when Sirena and I only had the first of our four kids, we visited Sirena's brother who was stationed overseas in Germany. While there, we fell in love with the culture and with German soft pretzels ("Brezeln"). The pretzel experience is one of joy, of community, and it is part of life.
This began an almost decade-long quest to bring that joy, community, and life to others. It started with small batches of pretzels at family get-togethers, grew into the most loved item at our local German language school banquets - where one little German boy said our pretzels made him feel less homesick - and has been a cornerstone of our ever growing annual "Oktobinfest" parties each fall, where we have well over 100 neighbors, friends and family come together for food, music, silly games and dancing.
It is now time to expand our community again and share that same joy with our city at large though our homemade German pretzel rings.
Our youngest boy has an adorable habit when he really wants something that captures the spirit we hope to bring with our pretzels. Immediately after asking for the thing, he quickly says, "Say Yes!"
Say Yes!
Say Yes to joy! Say Yes to community! Say Yes to life!
Have you ever experienced this sort of thing? Do you want to be a part of bringing it to others? Can you imagine the families and friends making memories and starting new traditions of Saturday morning pretzels?
Say Yes!
To meet expanded needs, we will need to upgrade our kitchen equipment, pay for licenses and vendor costs. Will you help us?
