SAWYER'S LEUKEMIA BATTLE

Sawyer was very unexpectedly diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia on September 16th 2020. Sawyer was seen by his Endocrinologist for failure to thrive and had routine labs drawn. His platelet shape came back abnormal, so a Leukemia smear was done to verify. We were given the shocking terrible news that our Baby has Leukemia and we needed to get to the ER immediately where his team of Oncologists would be waiting for him. Sawyer was admitted to Children's Masonic Hospital and sent to surgery Friday Morning for a Hip Bone Marrow Biopsy  + Spinal Fluid Biopsy + Spinal Chemotherapy Injection + Chest Port. Surgery went Very well and Sawyer was started on his first Chemotherapy drug Friday afternoon. He spiked a fever and became very lethargic and pale, he had to get a Blood Transfusion.  Monday morning he started his 2nd Chemotherapy Infusion with a Harsh chemo called PEG.  He was back in for a Platelet Transfusion and Surgery on Friday for another Spinal Biopsy + Spinal Chemo Injection + Chemo Infusion. Sawyer is currently in what they call the " Induction Phase" of his treatment which is very intense 2x per week treatment days at the Masonic Hospital. Sawyer has a long Journey ahead of him 2.5 years of Treatment if all goes as planned. This is every parents worse nightmare and I feel helpless and defeated as a parent. It is agonizing to see my Baby vomiting everyday, having no energy, barely being able to chew, crying in discomfort, dealing with stomach discomfort and severe constipation, having headaches, not walking as well, body tremors all as a result of drugs that I have to allow them to give him in order to save his life. My Husband Micheal is Self Employed and the only one working right now to support our family. He has already had to take off 8 days of work for the hospital stay and 5 days for Sawyer's Outpatient Treatment Visits. He will contiune to take off 2 days each week for Sawyer's appointments because he wants to be there with his son. We are worried about Finances and our other children, while trying to solely focus on Our Baby's new medical needs and attention.
Any donation is appreciated. We appreciate all of the love, support and countless prayers. Please keep them coming. If you are not able to donate, we understand. But Please spread the word and Sawyer's Story because there may be someone out there who can help or Pray for our Son and Our Family.
We want to  thank you all so much from the bottom of our Hearts. Please continue to Pray for our Little Boy!
❤️Much Love,
Crystal & Micheal
