Sawyer Buckley surgery and recovery support
Donation protected
Hi friends and family,
I have started this fundraiser for my sister Kelsey Buckley and her family. My niece Sawyer was born with Cerebral Palsy, and is undergoing surgery on Wednesday. Many may not know because my sister, Jason, and Sawyer have taken that diagnosis and have kept living life as normally as possible. I only have a glimpse into this life as I listen to my sister talk about constant physical therapy, and specialist appointment, and other challenges they face. All while both her and Jason carried full time jobs. (Until recently with COVID) I have always admired my little sisters ability to tackle the many obstacles she has faced in her life. So onto the reason I started this Go Fund me... I will use Kelseys words she was going to post to request prayers. I felt like I should ask for prayers and some financial support for the Buckley’s as they have a few long weeks ahead of them.

My beautiful strong daughter will be having surgery. This is a surgery I have been researching and praying for Sawyer since the day she was diagnosed with cereal palsy. God opened the doors and reassured every doubt in amazing ways. She will be having Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy or SDR on Aug 19th. Her amazing doctors are Dr Ranalli and Dr Spears. This is no small surgery and Sawyer will need a lot of strength for the next months ahead of her. I am asking for prayers. For the doctors to have clear minds and steady hands. Prayers for Sawyer to be brave, and have fierce determination after surgery. Also, prayers for Jason and I to get through the surgery and hospital stay alternating as we’re not allowed to be there together. We are truly blessed to have this opportunity for this surgery, and to have it done locally. I know this is the best decision for our girl and her future!
